Nordstrom Rack is a place savvy shoppers tend to get a little wacky, racing around searching and sifting through its clearance displays to spot the trendiest, still-in-season designer bargains before someone else can.
Expect that scene to be ramped up even more at Thursday's grand opening of Tucson's first Nordstrom Rack - when there will be 20 golden hangers hidden throughout the 33,200-square-foot store. Customers who find the hangers can redeem them for $100 to spend there.
Nordstrom Rack at The Corner, the new shopping center at 4320 N. Oracle Road, opens its doors at 9 a.m. this Thursday. The grand-opening festivities begin at 7 a.m. with free breakfast refreshments and music played by a local DJ. The first 1,000 customers to buy something will receive a complimentary reusable tote with their purchase.
Regular store hours will be Mondays through Fridays 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
