And then there were four.
More than 15 poker players who call the Tucson area home were among the 7,319 entrants for this year's World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas.
But after six flights of comeptition, only four locals are among the 2,557 players still in the hunt for the $8.9 million first prize.
Those four are:
* Garrett Adelstein (223,300 in chips)
* Richard Allen Jr. (140,000)
* Nadim Shabou (73,900)
* Gene Nava (54,600)
Adelstein stands 66th in chips and in great shape to be one of the 747 players who will share in a nearly $69 million prize pool.
The local with the best pedigree, however, is Shabou, a professional who has cashed in multiple WSOP tournaments as well as on the World Poker Tour, and is also sponsored by an online poker site.

Action resumes at 12 p.m. Monday, though it's not likely players will get into the money until sometime on Tuesday, meaning they'll have played more than 27 hours of poker before getting rewarded for their efforts.
