The Cold Stone Creamery will serve its last scoop and mix-in Tuesday at East Sunrise Drive and North Kolb Road.
The shop is moving to a spot in front of Park Place mall, between Chipotle and Applebee's, and should be ready to open in a couple of weeks.
"We were lucky to get that spot," owner Lisa Gies said of the 700-square-foot space that became available after Boston Market moved out. Chipotle took most of the vacancy.
Gies, who owns three of the eight Tucson-area Cold Stone shops, said she had been eyeing Park Place for years. Foot traffic is important for ice cream stores.
Still, she said the store at 6960 E. Sunrise Drive was the first one she opened, and she has become a part of the community in the last 10 years.
"It's my favorite store," she said. "It has a lot of special memories."

Most of the employees there plan to move to her shop at 7115 E. Tanque Verde Road at Colonia Verde Plaza, while the Tanque Verde staff will follow its manager to Park Place, she said.
"We've been letting our customers know what we're doing," Gies said, and handing out coupons to encourage them to try the Tanque Verde spot.
"It's not going to be easy to close at that shop," she said. "I'm going to miss those folks. I hope they come and see me at the other shop."
