A beer commercial was inspiration for the origin of the satiric “Jan Brewer Facts” Facebook page.
The page, which is nearing in on 1,200 fans, launched in mid-July and features “facts” about Arizona’s governor.
Among them:
• Jan Brewer can squeeze orange juice out of lemons.
• You don't decide whether or not to boycott Arizona. Jan Brewer decides whether or not to let you in.
• Jan Brewer is a lover, not a fighter. But she has a black belt in five different martial arts. So don't get any ideas.
• Jan Brewer is known to cure narcolepsy just by walking into the room.
The site’s founder is Robert Mayer, one of the co-founders of the Tucson Tea Party who is now working on the campaign for Prop. 106, which targets the federal health reform act.

He said he saw one of the Dos Equis commercials, featuring the “most interesting man in the world,” and was reminded of the old Chuck Norris jokes ascribing supernatural powers to the martial arts expert and actor (“Some people wear Superman pajamas. Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas.”)
“Obviously, he’s not as controversial, but like Chuck Norris, Jan Brewer has this cult personalty brewing around her — people think she’s such a bad-ass,” he said.
Mayer acknowledged the site could be read in multiple ways. People who like Brewer naturally enjoy it, he said. But he also acknowledged that it works for those who believe Brewer has a knack for exaggeration, such as in some of her statements about beheadings and body parts in the desert.
“That’s the beauty of it. People go on the site and take it however they want to take it,” Mayer said, adding it will stay up as long as he can keep thinking of them.
A related website allows users to make up their own facts, which Mayer will post if he finds them funny.
His favorite one remains one of his earlier entries: “Jan Brewer taught Chuck Norris how to do a roundhouse kick.”
