Police have arrested a man suspected in a Tucson shooting death on June 26.
Jared Kyle Pilone, 31, was arrested July 14 in Casa Grande on suspicion of first-degree murder in the killing of Jonathan Ramon, 41, Tucson police said in a news release Sunday.
Police gave the following account:
Officers responded about 2 a.m. June 26 to a report of a shooting victim in the 3300 block of South Sixth Avenue. Tucson Police and South Tucson Police officers found Ramon and rendered aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police learned Ramon was involved in an altercation with a person in the area prior to the shooting.
On July 14, detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Pilone with first-degree murder in the case.
They learned Pilone was in Casa Grande, where Casa Grande Police and the Pinal County Sheriff's Office found him and took him into custody. Additional evidence was collected at the home where Pilone was found.
