A 23-year-old man was found dead and another was injured at an apartment near the University of Arizona campus Tuesday.
About 11:45 a.m. police received reports of shots fired in the 700 block of East First Street, near Euclid Avenue and Speedway, said Sgt. Matt Ronstadt a Tucson police spokesman.
When police arrived, they found a man outside the apartment suffering from non-life threatening injuries, Ronstadt said.
The man directed officers to an apartment, where they found Carlos Guillermo with gunshot trauma.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe the two victims were involved in an altercation with at least two suspects.
Two men wearing dark clothing were seen leaving the area in a white car, he said.
