Frank Busch, who coached Arizona to the 2008 NCAA swimming championships in men's and women's swimming and went on to be the director of USA swimming teams at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, died Sunday of a heart attack at the Phoenix airport. He was 75.
Busch, who became Arizona's swimming coach in 1989, coached the Wildcats through 2011. He was named the national coach of the year six times and the Pac-12 Coach of the Year 11 times.
Busch was returning from a fishing trip in Idaho when he collapsed and died Sunday.
