Less than an hour into his set, original Blues Brothers Band vocalist Jonny Rosch was feeling quite at home.
"Forget New York City, man, I'm moving to Tucson. You people are great!" he said to the intimate crowd of about 100.
Normally Rosch is hustling in the city as a session player, making music for various large acts, TV shows, movie scores and more. Out on the dining patio, Terraza del Sol, at The Grill at Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort, he could just play.
And he could play around.
Rosch told jokes and played requests for cover tunes by Bob Dylan, the Righteous Brothers, Neil Young and pretty much anything else the crowd threw his way.
Jamie Cain plays keyboard with a local group called The Chile's Band, and was coaxed to the front by friends to jam with Rosch, who was more than willing to accommodate the request.

She sang chorus and played the blues harp.
Four hours after he started playing, Rosch hadn't taken a break and was still going strong, with no signs of stopping.
Hacienda del Sol Manager Larry Padilla credits local music studio owner Kerryn Tolhurst with making Rosch's appearance's possible. He said he hopes to have more big-name acts at the terrace setting in the future.
