If you could call it Kosher-Mexican, that'd be pretty close to the atmosphere at a fall fiesta held Sunday.
The fiesta, put on by the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona, Jewish Community Center and the Jewish-Latino Teen Coalition, among others, drew an estimated 300 people to the Sundance Training Stables, 1305 N. Spud Rock Place, near East Speedway and North Houghton.
"It's a celebration of Jewish and Latino culture," said Brenda Landau, director of outreach with the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona.
The event benefited the Jewish-Latino Teen Coalition with a $3 suggested donation per person or $10 for a family.
"They've been learning about each other's cultures for a year," she said of coalition members. Next they'll travel to Washington, D.C., to talk to members of Congress.

"It's a different event. There are so many things that are so negative (in the world). It's a way for families to get together to celebrate good things," Landau said.
The fiesta featured a mariachi band, El Mariachi Tapatio, that played Mexican music along with traditional Jewish songs.
There also were hayrides, a magician, Israeli arts and crafts and a history room.
For Temple Emanu-El member Susanne Weinberg, it was a learning experience for her children.
"The more you expose them to different cultures, the more sensitive they are with everyone," she said.
