Illinois is one of the most fun states, offering an abundance of enjoyable activities for people of all interests, from theatergoers and foodies to partiers and gamers. The state has the:

• fifth-most restaurants per capita
• sixth-most arcades per capita
• fourth-most performing arts establishments per capita
• fourth-most music festivals per capita

However, Illinois has room for improvement in other areas. For example, the state ranks last in the country for access to national parks and has the eighth-highest movie costs.
