The Arizona Wildcats gained a recruit and lost another one Saturday night.Â
Whether that portends good things heading into the biggest day of their signing season remains to be seen.
New Jersey quarterback Devin Fuller will chose between the UA and Rutgers this afternoon during a party in his hometown.Â
Fuller, a U.S. Army All-American, is one of the Wildcats' top targets heading into Wednesday's signing day festivities. The Scout.com recruiting service lists him as a four-star recruit, the third-best quarterback in the country and the top dual-threat player available. He threw for 2,247 yards and 20 touchdowns and rushed for 1,326 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior at Old Tappan High School.
Scout.com recruiting analyst Brandon Huffman told the Star on Saturday that Fuller is "absolutely key" to the Wildcats' 2012 recruiting class.

"Not only does he have the talent to bolster a team, but perception-wise, it's big," he said.Â
"If (coach Rich) Rodriguez can go to the East Coast and Big East country and grab him, it'd be huge. Fuller is a big-time national prospect, the kind of guy that can make or break a recruiting class."
Fuller's pending news comes a day after Arizona gained a recruit and lost one in a span of hours. Philadelphia, Pa., cornerback William Parks verbally committed in the afternoon, according to reports. He initaily committed to Pittsburgh but reopened his recruitment when coach Todd Graham left for Arizona State. Buffalo, Connecticut and Temple also reportedly offered scholarships.
Hours later, Chatsworth, Calif., receiver Julian Brooks told UA coaches that he was reopening his recruitment, and would not sign Wednesday. Brooks, a three-star recruit, has no shortage of suitors: Arizona State, Colorado and Oregon State have offered Brooks scholarships, and UCLA — his hometown team — could follow suit.
