Ulan is a 6-foot-1 wing who turned 21 in January. She has extensive experience playing for Poland’s national team.
"Karolina is one of the top prospects from Poland," Burke said in a news release. "She has competed at the highest levels in EuroLeague and EuroCup competition for multiple years and will bring that valuable experience with her to Arizona.
"Karolina is a big, long and versatile guard who can score at all three levels. Her toughness and competitiveness will separate her and make our team better immediately. We are very lucky to have her."

Polish guard Karolina Ulan is the latest addition to the Arizona women's basketball program, officially joining the Wildcats on Monday, April 20, 2026.
Ulan averaged 14.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game in the 2025 FIBA U20 Women’s EuroBasket. She averaged 12.7 points and 3.3 rebounds for VBW Gdynia of the Orlen Basket Liga Kobiet (OBLK), which is the highest-level professional league in Poland.
The UA also officially announced the additions of four other players: class of 2026 guard Arynn Finley of Rancho Cucamonga, California; and transfers Aliyahna “Puff” Morris (Cal), Gerda Raulušaityte (USC) and Breanna Williams (Maryland). Here are Burke’s comments on those players:
On Finley: "Arynn is one of the best guards in the class of 2026. We are extremely excited about the athleticism and playmaking ability that she brings to both ends of the floor. Arynn is already a true three-level scorer, and I'm anxious to see her development here in Arizona. I expect Arynn to come in and compete in the Big 12 right away. We are lucky to have her."
Arizona coach Becky Burke yells at her team from the sideline during the Wildcats' game against Arizona State at McKale Center, Feb. 14, 2026.
On Morris: "Puff is one of the most dynamic point guards in the country. She will come in and be an immediate impact on both ends of the floor. I am really excited to let her loose in the Big 12 and let her play to her full potential within our playing style. She has elite maturity and mental toughness. Our program is lucky to have her."
On Raulušaityte: "Gerda is an extremely versatile post player with great length and a tremendous skill set. She's a very high-IQ player on both ends of the ball and we will be able to use her in many ways. As one of the top European players when she came to the United States, I'm looking forward to her showing us that side of her on the court here at Arizona."
On Williams: "Bre is an incredibly strong, skilled and versatile big that can score in a number of different ways. Her skill set along with her elite competitiveness will make her an immediate-impact player in the Big 12. I love Bre's maturity and outlook on the game. She knows exactly what she wants and is willing to work for it. I couldn't be more thrilled that Bre is an Arizona Wildcat."
The recent additions give Arizona 11 players for the 2026-27 season. The Wildcats likely will add one or two more players through the transfer portal.
