In a news article in the Daily Star last week, Arizona women's basketball coach Becky Burke spoke highly of the UA's four acquisitions for the 2026-27 season, Karolina Ulan, Arynn Finley, Aliyahna “Puff” Morris and Breanna Williams.
I'm not saying that Burke exaggerated a bit, but after a 3-15 season in the Big 12, who could blame her for using a few words rarely known to UA women's basketball the last season?
Burke was quoted with the following words:
"Dynamic; extremely valuable; great, tremendous; elite; thrilled; impact player; top prospect; highest level; lucky to have her; extremely excited."

It read like former Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski describing one of his typical recruiting harvests at Duke. But who cares? The UA women's basketball program has gone through two seasons of mush. It's good to hear some positive vibes again.
Arizona head coach Becky Burke heads down the bench and collects her high fives as the clock ticks down on a 59-43 win over Cal State LA, Oct. 30, 2025, in Tucson.
