Oro Valley held its first Homeowners Association Town Forum last week, bringing association representatives from across the community to Town Hall.
The town invited 58 homeowners association presidents to the event, said Mary Davis, town spokeswoman.
Its goal was to build better relationships with the HOAs, open communication, share information about resources and work together for the community, she said.
Twenty-three association representatives attended — some of them the presidents themselves and others delegated representatives.
"I didn't know what to expect," said Gary Miller, one of the HOA presidents who attended the forum. Miller is from the Pusch Ridge Vistas II Homeowners Association.
But "it was "really informative. It was nice to put a face to the names," he said.
