Ten full-tuition scholarships available to employees of SIA member
companies
SILVER SPRING, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Security Industry Association (SIA), the nonprofit association
representing global security companies, and University of Phoenix today
announced the Security Industry Association Scholarship Program. Through
the SIA Scholarship Program, 10 full-tuition scholarships will be
offered to full-time employees of SIA member companies to work toward an

undergraduate or graduate degree from University of Phoenix.

with an unparalleled opportunity to enhance their careers through
achievement in higher education,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “This

Three essays and a letter of recommendation will be required of all
applicants. High importance will be placed on the applicant’s desire to
advance in their education, with an emphasis on enhancing their careers,
and their impact in the security industry in which they reside.
Applicants must submit their materials by Jan. 10, 2017; however, SIA
and University of Phoenix will stop accepting applications once 150
qualified submissions have been received.
Recipients of the scholarship will be notified by March 2, 2017. All
applicants with a submitted application will be notified of the status
of the scholarship by the award date via email, regardless if selected
as a recipient or not.
