With a new owner at the helm, Play It Again Sports is getting ready to move its 7280 E. Broadway store into a larger location.
The new store will be opening less than a mile down the road at 7707 E. Broadway, in between Home Depot, PetSmart and Sprouts.
“We’re shooting to open in mid-May and at the latest June 1,” said owner Jason West.
West and his wife, Cassandra, purchased the Broadway and Speedway locations of the used and new sports equipment franchise from out-of-state owner Jim Murray, taking over on Feb. 1.
The current Broadway store is just over 3,500 square feet, West said. The new location is about 500 square feet larger.
“We’ll probably be doing some hiring,” West said. “And we’ll be having a grand opening after we open.” More details will be available closer to the move date.
