Friend of the Festival members can start clicking for free tickets to six venues at the Tucson Festival of Books at noon Wednesday, March 2.
To help alleviate the frustration of long lines, festival goers will again be able to reserve free tickets to the six busiest book festival venues. The ticketing process was instituted last year.
Electronic ticketing to the public begins at noon Monday, March 7. Ticketing ends at noon Friday, March 11.
A maximum of two tickets per person per event are available.
The venues are:
- Student Union North Ballroom (seats 640)
- Student Union Gallagher Theater (seats 340)
- Koffler Room 204 (seats 304)
- Integrated Learning Center Room 120 (seats 300)
- Modern Languages Room 350 (seats 318)
- New this year: Education Kiva (seats 200)

Things to know:
- Twenty-five percent of seats in each of these venues will be held for walk-ins the day of the presentation. All other venues will seated on a first-come, first-seated basis.
- At the festival, those holding tickets must show an electronic or printed copy of the ticket to access the venue.
- And those ticketholders who are at the venue 20 minutes in advance of the presentation will be guaranteed entry.
All Tucson Festival of Books events are free.
