Members: Hannah Blaylock on mandolin, banjo and guitar; Dean Berner on guitar and dobro; and Cherrill Green on lead vocals.
Roots: The twentysomethings trio grew up in central Arkansas, singing in church choirs. Green played in her family's bluegrass band. The three of them got together about seven years ago as a casual backyard barbecue band.
"When we started playing together back in Arkansas, we did it for fun, for the love of doing music," said Berner. Four years ago, they decided to take their music to another level and moved to Nashville. They landed at Big Machine last year after performing at the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony for their friend Kye Fleming.
Now playing on the radio: Their debut single, "Amen," came out March 28.
Music: An EP is due out this summer; no word yet on their debut album.

Sounds like: Soaring three-part harmonies led by Green's sparkling soprano. When they sing a capella, especially on gospel-inspired songs, they induce goosebumps. Berner describes it as "country with roots. We really try to keep the acoustic in front of it." The three mix their influences - Green's bluegrass, contemporary country from Berner and folk from Blaylock - "and it merges into Edens Edge," Berner said.
Hitting the road big-time: The trio is out with Brad Paisley on this summer's "H20 II: Wetter & Wilder World Tour." "It's a huge gift for us to be on a tour like this at the point where we're at," said Blaylock.
