A plumber has pleaded guilty to contracting without a license after two Arizona Registrar of Contractors investigations.
The Registrar fined Todd Davis $1,860.
Todd Davis Custom Plumbing was hired to do plumbing work on a home construction project in Vail, but the work was deemed poor and Davis didn’t finish the job, said Registrar spokesman Tyler Palmer.
Davis was charged with unlicensed contracting, a misdemeanor offense, in June and pleaded guilty in October. A Pima County Justice Court judge will decided how much restitution Davis must pay, up to $16,000.
Earlier this year Davis was fined $1,500 for a similar case in Tucson, Palmer said.
The average fine in an unlicensed contractor case in recent years is about $965 and the average restitution is about $4,500.
