Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot Texas attorney Harry Whittington earlier this month while quail hunting on a south Texas ranch. We asked Vail High School students what they thought about the incident:
"I think it was an accident. I believe the media blew it out of proportion. I hope the victim survives and the media can get back to a more important issue."

"I think it was just an accident between them. They were quail hunting and they should have known what was able to happen. I don't think that Vice President Cheney was really going to want to kill his friend."
