Three candidates are vying for two seats on the Amphitheater Unified School District Governing Board.
The district serves more than 14,000 students.
Incumbent Governing Board Member Jo Grant is retired. She said if elected she would work to ensure a quality education for all students in the district.
Grant was appointed to the Amphitheater board to complete the term of her late husband, Jeff Grant.
Scott Leska, the traffic operations engineering division manager for the town of Marana, said he would like to work with parents and teachers to address the district’s most pressing needs.
Leska says he would be proactive and responsive.
Mick Stewart is a teacher and mentor at Sunnyside High.

His top priorities, he said, are a quality education for all, parent participation, teacher support, fiscal responsibility and positive interactions with the community.
