Immaculate Heart schools — Immaculate Heart Academy and Immaculate Heart High School — St. Odilia Catholic School and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School enroll more than 900 students combined in preschool through 12th grade.
Sure, some public middle schools in the area have more than 1,000 students, but these Catholic schools aren't overly concerned about quantity.

Immaculate Heart High School, 625 E. Magee Road, only has 73 students but the student-teacher ratio is 11-to-1.
"Our small-school environment creates a no-place-to-hide environment," said Thomas P. Long, president of Immaculate Heart High School. "Kids have to stand and deliver here."
