I live in Ajo, Arizona which is in the far western edge of Pima County. Ajo is a small former copper mining town. Being over 2 hours away from Tucson we are aware that it would easy for our sweet, rural community to be forgotten by the county. Whoever serves as District 3 County Supervisor for Pima County will be vital in ensuring that Ajo is not forgotten.
Over the last 8 months I have watched candidate Jen Allen be deliberate and proactive in coming to Ajo in person to find out firsthand from locals what concerns are unique to our community. Her numerous trips to Ajo speak to her character and commitment to rural communities. It would have been easy for Jen to stay focused on the population center around Tucson but she consistently showed up in Ajo for community events and house gatherings. Her actions speak volumes to me and she has my full support. Maria Singleton
