355th Medical Group Davis-Monthan AFB, Ambulatory RN in Operational Medicine
BSN
ANA
I have been a registered nurse for 16 years, with more than 10 of those in government service. Most of my time has been spent in ambulatory services, including family practice, specialty outpatient clinics, and a step-down unit for ambulatory surgery. I enjoyed working with the people of the Tohono O’odham Nation as an inpatient nurse on the night shift. During my time with the Indian Health Service, I had the opportunity to experience a wide array of patient care on the inpatient unit, from Labor and Delivery through to Hospice Care. I currently work with active-duty military members in a family practice setting, coordinating care and supporting our nation’s missions. I feel very connected to and close to the military because I grew up as an Air Force brat, and my husband retired after 20+ years of service. I also have 2 beautiful girls, one is 19 and almost out the door, the other is 5 and reminds me every day that I am not as young as I think I am. Tucson has been my home for most of my life, and I don't plan to ever leave.
