I earned a master’s degree in nursing leadership with 30 years of nursing experience across multiple areas of healthcare. Throughout my career, a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, team development, and operational improvement has been a priority.
I have successfully led quality and performance initiatives as the manager of an adult surgical unit. I am a passionate advocate for nursing education and professional growth; much of my career has been dedicated to mentoring the next generation of nurses. I have served extensively as a preceptor for new graduate nurses and have mentored nurses pursuing their master’s degrees, helping to develop confident, skilled nursing professionals.

Outside of my professional life, I am deeply involved in my community and family. I have been married for 46 years and am the proud mother of five children and grandmother to eight grandchildren. I also volunteered my time coaching youth soccer, T-ball, and teaching Sunday School. In addition, I served two summers as the Meet Director for the SAAA Summer Swim Championship Meet and the Meet Director for the SAAA Muppet Swim Meet.
My career reflects a lifelong commitment to compassionate care, leadership development, and service to both this profession and the community.
