ESPN will televise the Arizona Wildcats’ Sept. 17 home game against Stanford, representatives from the sports network and the universities announces today.
The game will kick off at 7:45 p.m. and be shown on ESPN’s main network. The UA’s game the following week against Oregon has also been picked up by the ESPN family of networks, but a channel has not been determined yet. That 7:15 p.m. game will be shown on either ESPN or ESPN2.
Today’s news means four of Arizona’s 12 regular season football games will be shown on the ABC/ESPN family of networks. The UA’s Sept. 8 game at Oklahoma State and its Oct. 20 game against UCLA will both be shown on ESPN.
Fox Sports Net, Versus and FX could choose to air Arizona’s other nine games. The networks will make their announcements in early June, and can add extra games during the season.
