JDA Counts More than 400 Patents Granted and Pending, Fueled by JDA

Labs in the Areas of Inventory and Demand Planning, Scenario Management

and Self-Learning Supply Chains

LONDON & SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JDA FocusConnect 2016--JDA

Software Group, Inc. today announced it has surpassed twin

milestones of over 300 patents granted and over 400 both granted and

pending. These numbers represent the largest patent portfolio in the

field of supply chain management technology for any company or

institution. This is a testament to JDA’s long-standing and continuing

innovation as modern supply chains move to digitization, real-time

visibility, intelligent and autonomous decision-making, and

self-learning.

In 2016, JDA filed patents in areas such as scenario management,

inventory and demand planning, and self-learning supply chains. One of

the patents JDA filed is around the notion of the self-learning supply

chain, which involves knowing when something is out of stock, what

caused it, whether that be surge in demand, inventory issues such as

missed shipments or deliveries, or weather or traffic conditions.

Next-generation supply chains will be able to leverage self-learning to

understand correlations between cause and effect, and proactively remedy

potential issues before they even happen.

JDA Labs, formalized two years ago, has accelerated innovation at JDA,

with a corresponding acceleration of patent filings. The JDA
