Soft Surroundings, a retail chain geared toward women, is slated to launch its first Arizona location at La Encantada, 2905 E. Skyline Drive.
The St. Louis-based company will hold its grand opening on April 3 in the old home of Coldwater Creek, on the lower level of the shopping mall, near the main courtyard.
Soft Surroundings started as a catalog company in 1999 and opened its first retail location in St. Louis in 2005.
It is described in press materials as an “upscale, lifestyle brand and retailer of women’s apparel, home and beauty products.”
La Encantada will be its 19th location and is part of an 11-store expansion for the company in 2015.
Soft Surroundings opened six locations in 2014. Two additional stores are planned for Arizona, most likely in the Phoenix area, and will tentatively be announced in the next month, according to spokesman Jim Manno.
