Tractor Supply Company will open its first Tucson-area store, at 7735 N. Casa Grande Highway in Marana, at 8 a.m. May 10.
The 23,000-square-foot store will carry Western wear, pet food and supplies, livestock and farm supplies, hardware, garden supplies and more.
“We’re a little bit of everything,” said Chrisanne Ayala, general manager of the new store. “We’re everything for the out-here lifestyle.”
Despite the store’s name, tractors are not expected to be the top-selling item, Ayala said. “We’ll sell a lot of seed and farm supplies. General chicken and horse feed will probably be really big here. And gates and fencing.”
Tractors were the main driver for the business years ago, Ayala said. But the business evolved from there, to include all of the supplies needed for outdoor life.
