ORLANDO, Fla. -- Dragons, sea creatures and animals of all kinds will come to life with lights at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens this holiday season as a popular annual event returns.
Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild, presented by Publix, is back at the Sanford attraction for its seventh year on select nights in November, December and January with handcrafted lanterns illuminated by thousands of LED lights. Combined with sound and scenic design, the event helps immerse visitors in colorful natural lands integrated into the zoo’s landscape.
“Each year, Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild brings wonder and excitement to our community while showcasing the zoo in a new way, blending art, culture and nature,” said Richard Glover, the zoo’s CEO, in a news release. “We are thrilled to welcome guests and proud to continue our collaboration with Publix for another season filled with spectacular displays, unforgettable moments and the magic that has made this event one of Orlando’s premier holiday traditions.”
