Boyd and Roy W. Drachman own their own Tucson businesses — just like their granddad, Roy P. Drachman, did.
Both are also involved in the community.
Boyd, 51, serves as president and co-owner of Drachman Leed Insurance, which employs 15 and serves a mainly commercial clientele.
He started the company 23 years ago. "It was just a situation whether to go to work with the family or not. I went with this."
A father of four, he has served with a number of nonprofit groups, including the Centurions — who fundraise for Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital — Pima Air & Space Museum, and the Tucson Conquistadors, which his grandfather helped found in 1962.
Both Boyd, and his brother, Roy, 49, have served as chairmen for the Conquistadors' annual PGA tournament.

Roy is majority owner of Roy Drachman Realty Co., which his grandfather founded in 1946. "We are primarily commercial but not exclusively," says Roy, who has four full-time employees.
Father to three boys, Roy is still not sure whether his sons will follow in the family real estate business.
But he does know one thing: "I am proud of our company and our heritage here."
