Horses and people gathered over the weekend for the second annual Southern Arizona Horse Expo at the University of Arizona Agricultural Center on North Campbell Avenue.
The two-day expo included equine-related vendors, live performances from horse trainers showing off tricks and ground work, and food and music.
The horse expo aims to bring the horse community together, said Clay Harper, a professional horse trainer and co-host of the event.
"This is also a benefit for HEART of Tucson," he said. HEART stands for Happy Equine Acres Rescue and Therapy, a volunteer-based nonprofit organization dedicated to equine rescue.
Professional trainers entertained the audience with demonstrations and horse training techniques and provided information about their particular specialties.
