Vail/Corona de Tucson
1 A man was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence at 11:20 p.m. April 29 at the Pima County Fair, 11300 S. Houghton Road. The 42-year-old man was trying to leave the fairgrounds, but he was driving without his headlights on. The man admitted to a police officer that he had a "little bit" to drink. He then took, and failed, several field sobriety tests.
2A 20-year-old man was cited on suspicion of underage drinking at 9:20 p.m. at the Pima County Fair, 11300 S. Houghton Road. Police had received a report of a fight, and when they arrived to break it up, they found two people who were apparently intoxicated. The man told police he would not sign the citation, and he would not leave the fairgrounds. He told police he did not care if he went to jail. He was then taken to the Pima County jail.
3 Police received a report of a burglary at 2 p.m. April 30 at two model homes in the 17600 block of South Bronze Mountain. Several appliances were missing from both homes, and extensive damage was done to the homes as a result of appliances being dragged out. The value of the missing appliances at both homes totaled more than $5,000. Police found a large rock inside, which appeared to have been thrown through a glass window to gain access.

4A man called police at 9:52 a.m. May 1 to report a burglary at the P1 Kart Circuit track at 11800 S. Harrison Road. The man told police that three go-carts, worth $35,000, had been stolen. The carts were locked in separate gated areas, but it appeared that the padlocks had been cut through. The go-carts were three of the most expensive used at the track.
5 A woman called police on May 2 from the 13800 block of East Camino Costa Teguise to report vandalism. She said that for the last two months someone had been knocking large rocks into her backyard and pool. On May 1 a large rock was thrown into the pool and tore the pool cover.
6 The superintendent for ITC Homes called police on May 4 to report a burglary from a home under construction in the 200 block of North Del Sur Drive. A stainless steel refrigerator worth $2,035 was reported missing from the home. He last saw the refrigerator at 3 p.m. April 28.
East Side
7 A man contacted police at 4:25 p.m. May 3 from the 11300 block of East Calle Aurora to report a burglary. He told police that when he arrived home, he found the back door unlocked and several things strewn around the house. Items stolen from his home included a $180 revolver, a $35 bottle of scotch, a Kodak camera and $40 to $60 in cash.
8A woman in the 11400 block of East Speedway called police to report fraud on May 4. She was informed by her bank that the checks she had been writing were all bouncing. She told police she did not write any checks. She was told 50 checks had been sent to her in the mail on March 30, but she also said she never received the checks. The woman did not know how many of the checks had been written.
9 A man was cited on suspicion of a weapons violation at 12:50 p.m. May 3 in the 7100 block of East Speedway. Police stopped a vehicle because it had expired car tags from Colorado and a rear window broken out. Police searched the driver and found two knives, and in his car they found an unholstered, fully-loaded gun under the driver's side seat. He was cited for carrying a concealed weapon and released.
Sahuarita
10 The Sahuarita Police Department received a report of vandalism at 10:50 a.m. May 7 in the 400 block of East Camino Del Abeto. A man told police that sometime between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m., someone had thrown eggs at his Ford truck. The man had already washed off the egg and told police there was no damage to the paint.
11 A man called police at 2 p.m. May 7 from the 400 block of East Camino Limon Verde to report an embezzled vehicle. His car was taken with permission by his girlfriend the previous day. She said she was going to Circuit City in Tucson and would be right back. She never came back, and the man learned from a friend that his car was parked at a home in the 7000 block of East Stella Road.
12 A man called police at 9:41 a.m. May 7 from the 0-100 block of East Camino Del Abedul to report vandalism at his home. At 11 p.m. the previous night, his son heard something hit the outside of the house. When they went to investigate, they discovered that the house had been hit with eggs.
