A 32-year-old man was arrested Sunday while working at a restaurant at Fort Huachuca, and is facing armed robbery charges, authorities said.
Jason T. Rubin, a civilian employee at the base, was taken into custody by detectives of the Benson Police Department in connection to robberies at a Safeway pharmacy April 27, and at a Walmart pharmacy May 2, said Police Chief Paul Moncada.
Rubin was booked into the Cochise County jail on suspicion of armed robbery, making a terrorist threat and kidnapping, Moncada said.
On April 27 between 9:30 and 10 a.m., a man demanded Oxycodone from the Safeway pharmacy. The man held a sign that implied he had a device on him that could cause harm, said Moncada. He said victims could see two wires protruding from under his shirt.
In the May 2 incident, a man walked into the Walmart pharmacy about 11 a.m. and he also demanded Oxycodone and a second drug, Moncada said. He also had a sign that implied he had a device on him that could cause harm, and the victims could see two wires protruding from under his shirt.

Surveillance video of the culprit was captured and photos were posted on the Benson Police Department Facebook page. A tip was called into the police department, and further investigation led to Rubin's arrest, said Moncada.
A search warrant of Rubin's vehicle led to the recovery of some of the drugs taken in the robberies, and a sign he displayed in the Walmart robbery, Moncada said.
