Golden Corral Buffet & Grill will hold a grand opening Wednesday for its first Marana location, at 6865 N. Thornydale Road. The restaurant will open for regular business Thursday.
The opening marks the fourth Tucson-area Golden Corral location. The others are on East Wetmore Road, South Midvale Park Road and East 22nd Street.
The new restaurant brings more than 130 jobs to the area, including management, wait staff, line servers and kitchen staff.
During grand opening week, the eatery will accept donations supporting Tu Nidito, a local nonprofit group that provides services for children who have experienced the death of a loved one and for seriously ill children and their families.
Golden Corral features multiple “stations” where guests may choose from Italian, Asian, Mexican and American foods. There are also buffet staples such as pot roast, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, soups, salads and desserts. A sunrise breakfast buffet is available Saturdays and Sundays.

The restaurant has banquet facilities available free of charge for groups and organizations who wish to use them.
