PHOENIX — A nephew of Baseline Killer suspect Mark Goudeau was arrested late Friday in an unrelated child-prostitution case, police said Saturday.
Patrick Earl Goudeau, 22, was arrested when the car he was in was stopped by officers working a prostitution detail, Phoenix police Sgt. Andy Hill said.
Police had been looking to arrest Patrick Goudeau in a case they began investigating in March, Hill said. The case is not related in any way to the Baseline Killer investigation, and officers didn't know Goudeau was in the car when they stopped it for a traffic violation at about 10 p.m. in west Phoenix.
They had developed probable cause to arrest him some time ago but were unable to locate him, Hill said.
Hill said Patrick Goudeau was a pimp who picked up a 17-year-old girl at an area mall and turned her into a prostitute. Patrick Goudeau was booked on six counts of child prostitution and nine other related charges.

Mark Goudeau, 42, has been in custody since September, when he was arrested and charged with two sexual assaults that authorities said were linked to the Baseline Killer, who spread terror across the Phoenix area for nearly a year.
On Thursday, police announced they had evidence linking Mark Goudeau to nine killings and a host of sexual assaults and other crimes, and were seeking 71 charges against him, including nine counts of murder.
His lawyer, Corwin Townsend, said his client is innocent.
"Anyone who did those things is clearly a monster, and I don't think Mark is a monster, and I don't think he committed these crimes," Townsend said.
