AARP Arizona is seeking applicants to fill the volunteer leadership post of state president.
The state president acts as a lead spokesperson for AARP Arizona with the media, opinion leaders, legislators and the public.
The state president also serves as the chair of the AARP Arizona Executive Council and is responsible for the appointment of all volunteer positions, in partnership with the state director.
Candidates should complete an AARP volunteer application and attach a current resume.
Applicants must be 50 years of age or older, and be an AARP member.
The screening process will begin in the late fall, and the new state president will be appointed and beginning his or her first term in January 2013. Deadline to apply is Oct. 24.
