In what is expected to be a nail-biter race, early election results show U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick leading narrowly in Arizona's District 1.
The results reflect mostly early ballots and about 45 percent of precincts as of 10 p.m.
Kirkpatrick, a Democrat, is seeking a second term in District 1.
Her Republican challenger, Andy Tobin, has served four terms in the Arizona House of Representatives.
Both candidates are watching the election results in Flagstaff after touring northern Arizona today. Congressional District 1 includes parts of 11 Arizona counties, including 58,400 voters in northern Pima County.
