Religious zoning on OV's agenda
Oro Valley's Town Council will hold a public hearing Wednesday on zoning code changes regarding religious institutions.
To comply with federal law, the council is considering allowing religious institutions in all zoning districts — including residential districts — except for the parks and open space district.
One option is for the council to require religious institutions to obtain conditional-use permits, which is required of some community buildings. Another option is to not require those permits.
The hearing will be part of the council's regular meeting, which starts at 7 p.m. at the Oro Valley Town Hall, 11000 N. La Cañada Drive.
