The Food Network competition show "Chopped" - in which four chefs cook mystery ingredients into dishes - stopped by Tucson earlier this month, filming mostly at Old Tucson Studios and closing the business to the public during filming.
Food Network spokesperson Lauren Mueller said the show shot multiple episodes that will air sometime this summer.
"The publicity value for Tucson and Old Tucson will be great when it airs," said Shelli Hall, director of the Tucson Film Office, via email.
Two anchors return to town for KVOA jobs
A slew of departures forced KVOA to do some quick hiring to fill the holes, and the station decided to rehire a pair of former Tucson news personalities.
Allison Alexander, who left KGUN-Channel 9 in 2004 and last worked in Phoenix, will anchor the noon and 4 p.m, broadcasts starting Monday. She's replacing Martha Vazquez, who resigned Feb. 13 after she was cited for shoplifting.

Rebecca Taylor, who left KVOA in October 2010 to move to Nashville, Tenn., will return to anchor weekends, replacing Emily Guggenmos, who was promoted into Taylor's spot after she left and has now departed for Buffalo. Taylor, who will also do field reporting during weekdays, returns to KVOA Wednesday.
Tax incentives bill stalls in legislature
The Arizona entertainment industry-backed bill that would give tax incentives to film production companies to shoot TV shows, movies and commercials here has been renamed. Dubbed "Multimedia Production Incentives," the bill was amended and redubbed as HB 2127. Previously it was SB 1170.
The bill was slowly and steadily working its way through the Legislature, but was held on Wednesday in the Senate's Commerce Committee by committee chairman, Sen. Al Melvin.
Tucson Film Office director Shelli Hall said she did not know why the bill was held, but asked that the public contact Melvin and urge that it move forward.
The bill would offer tax rebates of up to 20 percent for qualifying productions.
