A man died shortly after a shooting in midtown, and Tucson police are investigating the incident as a homicide.
About 11:45 p.m. June 15, Jesse Flores, 31, was shot in the 4800 block of East Pima Street near North Mountain Avenue, police said in a news release.
Flores died shortly after being taken to a hospital, the release said.
The preliminary investigation indicates Flores was shot during a confrontation between several people, the release said.
The investigation continues.
