Suspect arrested in attack on woman, 82
Walmart employees helped capture a 29-year-old man who police said pointed a gun at an elderly woman during an attempted robbery, police said.
Stephen Prickett faces several charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery, a Sierra Vista Police Department press release said.
Prickett is accused of stealing the woman's cane behind the store and hitting her on the head several times while he tried to rob her Friday.
The woman, 82, pulled a handgun from her purse to defend herself, but the attacker wrestled the gun away and pointed it at her during the struggle.
When police officers arrived, they found the woman on the ground and the suspect held down by Walmart employees.

Prickett was booked into Cochise County jail.
The woman was taken to a Sierra Vista hospital and then transferred to a Tucson-area hospital.
SV police arrest man in stabbing
A 34-year-old Sierra Vista man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, accused of stabbing another man Friday night, police said.
Robin P. Will was booked into Cochise County jail after he got into a fight with the man at a home, according to a Sierra Vista Police Department press release.
The victim, who was was stabbed in the neck and hand, reportedly had returned home and found his girlfriend with Will at about 9 p.m.
The victim left the house, and officers later found him bleeding from his neck at an intersection.
Will was arrested early Saturday morning.
