Roll out the barrel and kick up your heels - it's time again for Oktoberfest on Mount Lemmon.
The festivities run noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 9.
On those days, groups of friends and families dot the rolling hillsides of Mount Lemmon Ski Valley, Tucson's version of the Alps, as the smell of grilled brats drifts on a cool breeze across a stunning backdrop of rich green pines and deep blue skies.
Visitors of all ages and nationalities will come together over the next two weekends to celebrate suds, sauerkraut and song as the John Prokop Band plays a wide variety of polka music and singer Inge Larsen, a native of Munich, Germany, performs on Sunday afternoons.
