What: "Meows & Meals" pet food drive and adoption event.
Where: The Hermitage Cat Shelter, 5278 E. 21st St.
When: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Why: The Hermitage Cat Shelter's Food for People's Pets Program collects dog and cat food for local service agencies, which in turn distribute the food to needy people and their pets.
