Slightly cooler weather and maybe a little rain is expected for the Tucson area through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service here.
A passing weather system is ushering in possible light rain showers through Saturday, the weather service says.
The biggest impact might be felt Saturday. That’s the same day that thousands of Tucsonans will be outside for the annual El Tour de Tucson that kicks off downtown at 6 a.m., and the University of Arizona football game that kicks off at 12:30 p.m.

The weather service forecasts a daily chance of rain showers ranging from 15% to 35%, with a minimal amount of rainfall expected in much of the metro area.
How much rain? In valley locations: less than 0.1 inch. In the mountains: up to 0.25 inches.
Temperatures are anticipated to dip to near or slightly below seasonal norms by the weekend, generally the high 70 at the end of the work week, about 74 degrees Saturday and 70 degrees by Sunday.
And Monday and Tuesday could dip just below 70 degrees.
