NEW YORK — Paul McCartney, who's in the midst of an acrimonious divorce from his second wife, has been spotted around his posh Hamptons mansion escorting a high- profile fellow Hamptonite, Nancy Shevell, a British tabloid has reported.
McCartney, 65, and Shevell, 47, were spotted at an Amagansett sushi restaurant, Show Win, on Saturday night, and outside a Hamptons cafe Sunday morning, according to the Sun of London.
Paparazzi outside Shevell's Upper East Side apartment in Manhattan snapped her picture as she left home Wednesday morning, her anonymity swept away by a burst of 21st-century Beatlemania.
Shevell, 47, and a member of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority board, is McCartney's latest apparent flame since his marriage to Heather Mills disintegrated last year. The rock 'n' roll Hall of Famer was previously spotted with high-profile dates Renee Zellweger, Christie Brinkley and Rosanna Arquette,

Shevell, a graduate of Arizona State University, is a vice president of her family's businesses, New England Motor Freight of Elizabeth, N.J., and the Shevell Group of Cos. She is a breast cancer survivor. (McCartney's first wife, Linda, died of breast cancer in 1998.)
Until recently, Shevell was known as Nancy Shevell Blakeman. She is legally separated from New York lawyer Bruce A. Blakeman, a commissioner of the New York Port Authority and former presiding officer of the Nassau County Legislature.
The Blakemans are friendly with former Gov. George Pataki and are major contributors to President Bush.
