SAVAHCS, Clinical Nurse Manager Hospice/Palliative and Sub-acute Rehabilitation Units
BSN, RN
N/A
I began my nursing career in the Nursing Assistant Program at SAVAHCS. I worked as a Nursing Assistant through my ADN program and was hired as an RN in the Community Living Center in Building 60. Over the past 18 years, I have had the privilege of serving Veterans while growing professionally in roles including Floor Nurse, Restorative Nurse, Memory Care Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager and Clinical Nurse Manager of Memory Care, and most recently, Clinical Nurse Manager of Hospice/Palliative and Sub‑acute Rehabilitation.
Throughout my nursing journey, I remain committed to the improvement of processes for my peers, staff, and the Veterans that we care for. My leadership goals are to always be a supportive and engaged leader, especially when my team and I face challenges. How you compose yourself during a time of potential crisis speaks to your character. Nursing is truly a team sport, and your success does not depend on one person, but many imperfect humans with a common goal of providing compassionate, holistic, and quality care.
