Newly retired Canadian point guard Kevin Pangos will start his coaching career as an Arizona assistant coach, according to the Gonzaga-focused Slipper Still Fits website.
Pangos, 33, played four years at Gonzaga while UA coach Tommy Lloyd was on the Zags staff, becoming the WCC player of the year as a senior in 2014-15 before beginning a professional career.
Pangos played 10 seasons professionally, spending last season in Turkey, before announcing his retirement via Instagram on Saturday.
