The Arizona Wildcats are planning for the future.
Rich Rodriguez and the UA received a commitment from class of 2017 quarterback Braxton Burmeister this afternoon.
The 6-foot-1-inch, 190-pound signal-caller committed to the UA over an offer from Florida. Just a sophomore, Burmeister isn't rated by Scout.com or Rivals yet. He is ranked as a 4-star prospect by 247sports.com, though.

Burmeister, out of La Jolla, California, has thrown for 2,117 yards, 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in nine games this season as a sophomore for La Jolla Country Day. He's also rushed for 469 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Burmeister received a Florida offer earlier this month, but decided to end his recruitment — for now — before it really got going.
