The following is the opinion and analysis of the writer:
I watched the VP debate on Tuesday and rewatched it three times Wednesday morning, at least for Vance’s overly verbose answers. I tried to find something in his words on which to comment. Unfortunately, Vance did the “Texas Shuffle” in numerous responses. He spoke for over his allotted time on most answers and should have had his mic cut off more than once.
Over and over I listened (if you recorded this you can do the same thing), and he said nothing. It was all word salad, but rarely a response to the questions. When he responded, he embarrassed himself to any intelligent person watching aware of the truth.

Trump did not make the transfer of power to Biden peaceful. He continued to make fraud allegations for years. He left the White House stealing top secret documents before the ceremonies, which he didn’t attend. He did not leave Biden with a “booming” economy. He failed to manage a major pandemic. There were several terrorist attacks on the US during his term. January 6 was not peaceful, as Vance described it. People died.

I began to question whether his education at Harvard, as well as his degree, paid for by his billionaire mentor, Peter Thiel, is an attempt to create an American version of the Manchurian Candidate. Vance is a competent speaker, but his elocution lacks substance.
As a member of the high school debating team, I learned to answer the question briefly and fill the time with words — it didn’t matter what. Watch Vance.
Thiel has created a new political movement, more conservative than conservative Republicans and much further right than MAGA. According to Vanity Fair, this is where he is placing his bets and nurturing Vance, a person with less than two years in politics. To build his party, he holds parties that attract mainly men and a few women.
He anticipates that if Trump wins in November, he will no longer be able to fulfill his duties. In that case, Vance will become American history’s most inept, unqualified president. With Trump’s increasingly rapid mental decline, I give it two years. JD Vance will be entirely indebted to Peter Thiel. What do they call someone who creates a dictator?
An event for the ‘National Conservatism Conference (NatCon)’ was created to attract well-educated young conservatives. I find it ironic that well-educated and financially secure young adults are uniting in a movement that disdains and wishes to abolish the academic system from which they’ve gained. They have no name for this movement, simply calling themselves a “fractious family of dissenters” or the New Right.
In addition to Thiel, JD Vance, Blake Masters, Curtis Yarvin, Rod Dreher, Walter Kirn and many young male conservatives attend the parties.
